Goodwill Industries of Danville Area, Inc. is a 501-C3 non-profit organization which operates in the City of Danville and Pittsylvania, Halifax, Prince Edward, Amelia, Brunswick, Charlotte, Mecklenburg, Nottoway and Lunenburg Counties. Our mission is to provide training and career opportunities for people with barriers to employment. Goodwill Industries of Danville employs approximately 150 people and serves approximately 200 persons annually.
Goodwill Industries of Danville operates 9 retail stores in the following communities:

- Chatham
- Chase City
- South Hill
- Altavista
- Farmville
Our retail stores help support our programs and to Goodwill stores, along with our other business departments, salvage sales, contract work, workforce development fees for services and grants and public support, go directly to job training services.

Goodwill industries of Danville Area is affiliated with Goodwill Industries International headquartered in Rockville Maryland. Although we are a Goodwill Industries International member, each member Goodwill is independent and autonomous. Goodwill Industries International provides us with support and information to help us provide the very best services and programs possible.
