Goodwill Industries of Danville offers training programs to assist displaced workers in maximizing their employment potential by gaining valuable work skills.
Goodwill offers specialized training in the following areas:
Basic Office and Computer Skills Training

Participants learn the skills necessary to be successful in an office position including computer operations, switchboard operation and other basic office skills.
Retail Skills Training
Participants receive hands on training and experience in our retail store enabling them to employment in one of the fastest growing fields.
Computer Refurbishing & Training Program
Participants gain experience and instruction in computer refurbishing and repairing.
Work Adjustment Training
The goal of Work Adjustment Training is to help disadvantaged persons and persons with disabilities to understand, accept, and remedy conditions or attitudes which interfere with securing and maintaining a job. Work Adjustment assists the trainee to pursue competitive employment, employment in a sheltered program or further skills training. Services offered to help candidates reach this goal include counseling, referral, case management, adult basic education, daily living skills, job readiness, and job placement.
Forklift Training
Participants receive training on Forklift Operation and Safety.
Loss Prevention and Security Training

Participants learn to operate surveillance equipment while gaining experience in the security field.
Sheltered Employment
Sheltered Employment provides work experiences for adults whose disability limits them from obtaining competitive employment and provides transitory employment for those who are endeavoring towards competitive placement. This program offers the same services to achieve these goals as does Work Adjustment.
